the struggle

The struggle was real, it was relentless and it was suffocating. I found myself drowning in the depths of despair, gasping for air and struggling to keep my head above water.
I remember the long, sleepless nights, where my thoughts would spiral out of control and my fears would consume me. I was trapped in a dark place, a place where the light couldn't penetrate and hope was just a distant memory.
But in the midst of my darkest hour, I discovered a strength within myself that I never knew existed. It was a small flicker at first, barely noticeable, but as I began to fight back against the darkness, that flicker grew stronger and stronger, until it became a blazing fire that illuminated the path ahead of me.
Looking back, I see that the struggle was a necessary part of my journey, a painful yet transformative experience that ultimately led me to a place of peace and clarity. I am grateful for that struggle, for it has made me stronger, more compassionate, and more resilient than I ever thought possible.
